🔹 Intended Users

This guidance applies to:

  • Patients who have undergone Gender-Affirming Surgery (GAS) with fully healed tissues
  • Individuals requiring regular or repeated use of Rebloom trainers for postoperative vaginal dilation

🔹 Routine Cleaning (After Each Use)

  1. Hand-wash the device using mild, neutral soap and warm water.
  2. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap residue.
  3. Pat dry with a clean towel or tissue, and allow the device to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area.

🔹 Surface Disinfection Recommendations

  1. Before and after each use, wipe the device’s exterior and internal lumen with 75% alcohol.
  2. Ensure the alcohol has fully evaporated and the device is completely dry before reuse or storage.
  3. Do not soak the device in alcohol-based solutions, as this may damage the material.

🔹 Sterilization Guidelines

The Rebloom trainer is made from polyurethane and should not be boiled or autoclaved.

If physicians determine that sterilization is required, please refer to the following recommended processing parameters:

  • Temperature: 35°C to 55°C
  • Pressure: -65 kPa to +35 kPa

Exceeding these thresholds may compromise the material’s integrity or functionality.

🔹 Storage Instructions

  • After each cleaning, store the trainer in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated location.
  • Use a breathable material such as a cotton pouch; avoid moisture, compression, bending, or direct sunlight.
